"So everywhere we go, we tell everyone about Christ. We warn them and teach them with all the wisdom God has given us, for we want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. I work very hard at this as I depend on Christ's mighty power that works within me." Colossians 1:28-29

The Lost Shipwreck of Paul
By Robert Cornuke

Okay, so I'm not reading this book yet, but I will soon.  The guy that wrote it is Bob Cornuke.  He spoke at our church several times over the weekend and some of the things he has discovered is amazing.  I have to admit I wasn't looking forward to hearing him just based on the speakers we have had previously.......boring:(  But, this guy was great...a little long winded but great!  We saw his footage of what he and many others believe is Noah's Ark.  He used the Bible as his map and it all comes together and makes so much sense.  The footage was incredible, I can't wait to watch the DVD's.

Anyway, remember his name Robert(Bob) Cornuke, because you will hear of him in the future.  He has already been to Hollywood to discuss a movie deal about some of his other Biblical explorations and findings.  But, besides that he is a great guy who loves his family and the Lord.  He has devoted his life to truly following in the footsteps of Christ.  Very inspiring!

#1 and #5 "Home" is beautiful and peaceful :-)

PEACE and QUIET is something I could really use about now.  I was feeling guilty and selfish for wanting these things until I came across this passage in the Bible.  Psalm 55:7 in The Message says "I want some peace and quiet"!!  That's exactly how I have felt and thanks to the Good Lord above I'm not feeling selfish anymore for desiring those things.  God only knows when the peace will come but let me tell you....I am ready for it!  Psalm 29:11 says " The Lord gives his people strength.  The Lord blesses them with peace."   Peace is of God and I can trust in Him that my peaceful days are ahead!

Being a mom is so difficult sometimes.  Over the past 2 weeks all 4 of the kids have taken their turn being sick.  Eli took his turn twice because he's the "middle child" and they always do whatever it takes to get attention.  Finally I was seeing a light at the end of the tunnel....THEN...my other "middle child", Jamie, took his turn!  I'm telling you it's a middle child thing....anything to get attention!  When Daddy is sick the whole house is turned upside-down.  Jamie is the life of the party here at home too, just as he is when he is around all of you.  So, when he's sick there is no laughter whatsoever.  Which is so hard and depressing for me because we laugh....ALL OF THE TIME!!!  Speaking of laughter, I learned on Celebrity Fit Club that a good laugh burns 3 1/2 calories!!!  Jamie better get well quick....I have more weight to lose!

I have found a little peace and respite for my soul in the above CD.  Michael Buble' (pronounced (boo-blay) is awesome, his voice is beautiful.  I don't normally like this kind of music but, my favorite TV show "Dancing With The Stars" has given me a new appreciation for Jazz type music.  I love this show!!!  If they ever have a show called "Dancing With People You Never Heard Of",  I WILL be on that show.   I just love the live music and the style of dancing.  This show has really changed my perception of "Ballroom Dancing".  Definitely not boring!  Olivia loves it too, she dances through the entire show.  It's worth watching just to see her dance!

#7 How Great is Our God

"Healthy people don't need a doctor-sick people do.  I have come to call sinners, not those who think they are already good enough."  Mark 2:17

These are the words that Jesus had for the Pharisees when they were outraged that he was having dinner with tax collectors and my Bible says "many other notorious sinners".  The Pharisees were self-righteous and couldn't believe that Jesus would eat with "such scum".  I know alot of "Christians" with a Pharisee heart.  NO ONE is better than the other.  We ALL have sin. No sin is greater than the other.  In God's eyes....sin is sin.  We all need Jesus.  Don't look down on someone because they're not like you.  Maybe they hang with the wrong crowd or say things you would never say.  Don't point the finger.  Pray for them and ask God for the opportunity to share His love with them.  We are living in a hurt and sick world.  The only path to hope and healing is Jesus.  Open your heart and ask God to soften the hard places.  He can't work with a hard, prideful heart.  But, he can do wonders with a repentant, willing heart.  Everyone wants to be loved but are we willing to love everyone?  It would change the world if we could all learn to love like Jesus.

This is Jamie posting for Steph. Our computer at home is on the fritz - so it may be a few days before she gets to put up a real post. I still have mine here at work - so I may be sitting in for her until I can get it working. Please be in prayer that I can fix our PC with minimal electrocution damage. Thanks!
